💙 Dear Dealey Families,

As we head into this festive time of year, the spirit of the State Fair of Texas reminds us of joy, connection, and community. Whether your family is planning to explore the fairgrounds, take a quick trip, or simply relax at home, this week is a wonderful time to slow down and appreciate what we already have — the people and moments that make life rich.

We are only in school for three days this week — Monday through Wednesday — before a well-deserved break. Let’s make these days count by focusing on learning, laughter, and gratitude.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the parents who joined us for Coffee with the Principal and the Parent Support Group last week. Your presence, ideas, and partnership mean so much. These opportunities to connect and collaborate help strengthen our community and ensure that every dragon continues to thrive! 🐉✨

At Dealey, we are a family — and this season reminds us to love what we have and cherish who we share it with. Thank you for your ongoing support and for making Dealey a place where dragons and families rise together!

Dealey Garden Clean Up - Saturday, October 18, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM.

We'll meet in the Dealey Garden located on the east side of the school between the 1-3 and 4-5 hallways to spruce up the garden. We’ll be weeding the overgrown beds, spreading wood chips and more. If you have garden gloves, a pitch fork and/or a hand tiller, please bring them along. If you have room to bring a wheelbarrow, please do! We will also have tools available to use. Breakfast snacks will be provided as will sulphur socks to repel chiggers and sunscreen. Please bring a water bottle. Please wear long pants and use bug spray to deter chiggers. The garden work is best suited for adults and students in 4th grade or above. Younger children are more than welcome to help out with parent supervision. Service hour sheets will be signed!
