Thank You!

Veterans Day at Stone Creek
Stone Creek is looking forward to welcoming our veterans and their families to the SCE Veterans Day parade! We want to provide you further details about what to expect. All visitors must be checked through our Raptor System which can take time and we ask for your patience. We are trying to be proactive to streamline this process. You may begin arriving on Tuesday, November 11 at 8:45 a.m. This allows for our normal school arrival to be completed. The parade will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.
Please read the options below:
Option 1 Pre-Order:
- Pre-order must be completed by Friday, Nov. 7 at 9:00 a.m.
- If you have already scanned your ID through the Raptor System, you can pre-order your visitor sticker through this Google Form.
- You will pick these up on Veterans Day by showing your ID and being in the “Pre-Order Line”.
Option 2 In Raptor Already-Didn’t Pre-Order:
- This option will be available on Veterans Day.
- You will need your ID and enter the ‘Express Raptor Lane” since your information is already in the system.
- If you are scanned and not found in the system, you will then have to join the “Not in Raptor Lane”.
Option 3 Not in Raptor
- This option will be available on Veterans Day.
- You will need your ID and enter the “Not in Raptor Lane”.
Please note you can stop by SCE before Veterans Day to scan your ID ahead of time and then be eligible for Option 1 and 2.
Once you have your Raptor Visitor Sticker, we will ask you to wait in the cafeteria. We will have some breakfast treats for you. Your students will join you at 9:25 a.m. in the lobby to walk/ride with you in the parade. If you are driving in the parade, you will park your vehicle in the front lane of the school (not before 8:45 a.m.). We will plan to line you up by military branch to walk the parade route. We will have all cars go at the very end of the parade. At the beginning of the parade, we will stop once all branches are around the gym and say the Pledge of Allegiance together. When the parade reaches the end of the students, we will stop and our students will perform for you.
We can't wait to celebrate with you! Thank you for your service. We appreciate your teamwork to make sure the Raptor System works as efficiently as possible.
Earn House Points
Veterans Day coloring sheets are available in the office. Students who come ask for one, color it, and return it to the office by Friday, November 7 will earn 5 house points! Please do not share this information.
Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser

October Volunteer of the Month
Congratulations to Shawna Czuba for being Stone Creek's October Volunteer of the Month! Shawna will receive preferential parking in our Volunteer of the Month parking spot and a Fast Pass for the month of November. Together, our volunteers took 27.75 HOURS of work off of our teacher's plates for the month of October so they could spend more time with their families. We're up to an amazing 68.25 hours given back to teachers for the school year so far! Thanks again to ALL of our volunteers for filling in the missing piece to our puzzle, we appreciate you!

Help Prevent the Spread of the Cold and Flu
Check out Nurse Val's tips for preventing the spread of the cold and flu:
- Wash hands frequently
- Cover your cough with your elbow or a tissue
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth
- Get plenty of sleep, be active, and eat healthy foods
- Disinfect frequently
- Get the flu vaccine annually
If your child needs medicine at school, a medication form must be on file in the clinic office. This form has to be signed by their physician and a parent. Students are not allowed to carry medicine to school, an adult needs to bring the medicine to school to give to the nurse.
Students with a fever >100 must stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medicine.

WSD Grading Practices

Learn more about Standards-Based Grading and what you might see on your child's report card.
WSD Holiday Assistance Program
Would you like to bring a little holiday cheer to a WSD family? Each year in December the WSD Holiday Assistance Program helps to provide gifts for students in need and their families. Last year 361 families and 982 children received assistance in this charitable effort! The program works with businesses, community groups, and individuals to help make the upcoming holidays more enjoyable for struggling families. In our schools, students and staff do a variety of things to raise money and collect gifts, and many families are adopted by their own caring school community. But there is always a need for additional community support.
If you would like to adopt a family, please contact (636) 327-3800 x20358 or zacharybreckle@wsdr4.org.
