You find out your childhood friend might just be a serial killer. What would you do? Try to kill him? Or report him to the police that you know won't be able to contain him?
Gabriel Connolly struggles with what’s right. Then, when he’s faced with pure evil, and realizes he has no choice, he tries to drown his soul-less friend in a river. But evil doesn't die.
And that’s just the start of Gabriel's new nightmare. You can’t cheat death, that’s the trick. Even worse, Gabriel realizes he may have passed on supernatural gifts to a heartless killer.
As fiendish plans and unspeakable atrocities are set in motion, Gabriel learns that he alone may hold the key to a series of terrifying events: a secret cabin in the woods, a hidden tomb housing a trail of dismembered corpses, the young killer who lingers in a coma intent on cheating death. And at last, a depraved madman hellbent on saving his only son’s life. Can Gabriel take back the gifts given and triumph over the wicked? And most importantly, will death lay claim in the end?

Both Hands On The Wheel. Chapter Snippet. The Dominant One
“He chose it for the isolation.” Ted parked the truck and slid the key out of the ignition.
“No shit,” Daryl said, rather breathless. “The only neighbors he has to worry about are the coyotes and maybe the wandering black bear. If he has any pets, he best keep them on a short leash. Hope he knows that at least, or sooner or later, they’ll end up on the menu.”
“I’m sure he knows.” Ted hopped down from his truck. His feet hit the ground with a heart that weighed heavy. The thought of being consumed by another animal terrified him. He glanced once again at Ethan. In this world, you were either the predator or the prey, and the kid was chosen to be the latter. A voice of pure anguish, but no doubt his own, came forth from the hallowed depths of his soul. Stop this! Stop this… but he was powerless to stop it, and he knew it.
“Don’t count on it. People like him are ignorant as they are rich, no lie,” Daryl went on, oblivious to the inner turmoil that staked its claim inside his friend. Ignorance and money often went hand in hand, in that Ted could agree.
“Just food for thought,” Daryl added. And a laugh escaped Ted’s lips, as hysterical as it was unintentional. The accuracy of his friend’s words struck with a veracity so deep it nearly crippled him.
DAWN OF THE DEAD
Dawn of the Dead is a 1978 zombie Horror Film written, directed, and edited by George A. Romero, and produced by Richard P. Rubinstein. An American-Italian international co-production, it is the second film in Romero's series of zombie films, and though it contains no characters or settings from the preceding film Night of the Living Dead (1968), it shows the larger-scale effects of a zombie apocalypse on society. In the film, a phenomenon of unidentified origin has caused the reanimation of the dead, who prey on human flesh. David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, and Gallen Ross star as survivors of the outbreak who barricade themselves inside a suburban shopping mall amid mass hysteria.

TED TURNER DOOMSDAY VIDEO (END OF THE WORLD)
"Turner Doomsday Video" is the internal title of a video intended to be broadcast by CNN at the end of the world The video, created at the direction of CNN founder Ted Turner before the network's 1980 launch, is a performance of the Christian hymn "Nearer my God to Thee performed by multiple members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air force and Marine Bands.
At CNN's launch, Ted Turner declared, "Barring satellite problems, we won't be signing off until the world ends":
We'll be on, and we will cover it [the end of the world] live, and that will be our last, last event. We'll play the National Anthem only one time, on the first of June [1980], and when the end of the world comes, we'll play "Nearer My God To Thee" before we sign off.
CRIME SCENE PHOTOS: KILLER EDITION
Madame Debeinche
One of the first famous crime scene photos was taken on May 5, 1903, in the home of a Parisian woman named Madame Debeinche who had been murdered. As investigators descended upon the apartment, one of them picked up a camera and photographed the scene.
The photographer focused on a few key details, like a tilted painting on the wall, disheveled bed linens, and overturned chairs. Even more importantly, he captured the body of Madame Debeinche sprawled on the floor by the side of her bed, her limbs bent at unnatural angles, the tips of her extremities darkening, showing hours had passed since she'd been killed.
At the time, the camera was still a relatively novel invention used mostly for posed portraits. It was certainly not used to capture something as horrifying as dead bodies — particularly bludgeoned ones.
Richard Speck
Pictured is one of the eight nurses murdered by serial killer Richard Speck as she is taken away on a gurney, July 1966.
Speck's mass murder spree lasted one night when he broke into a community hospital and killed every student nurse there he could get his hands on. When asked why he'd done it, he merely remarked: "It just wasn't their night."
Joe Masseria
Ted Bundy
Jeffrey Dhamer
For over a decade, Dahmer lured young men to his home where he drugged, raped, and dismembered them. Many of them he then dissolved in a vat of acid he kept in his apartment. He also severed parts of his victims to eat or freeze.
