Dear Tipps Families,

We are off to a wonderful start to the school year! Our students are already diving into learning, making new friends, and getting into great routines. Thank you for the support you’ve shown—it truly makes a difference in creating a positive, engaging environment for all of our children.

Staying Connected

At Tipps, we value open communication and strong partnerships with families. If you ever have a concern, please reach out in this order so we can best support you and your child:

  1. Classroom Teacher – your first point of contact
  2. Grade-Level Assistant Principal (AP)
  3. Principal

This process ensures your concerns are addressed quickly and by the person most directly connected to your child’s daily experience.

Opportunities to Get Involved

We love and appreciate our parent volunteers! There are many ways to serve this year, including:

  • Room Parents – supporting teachers and classrooms. Sign up link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B044CABA82FA20-58247161-2025
  • PreK & Kindergarten Readers – sharing stories with our youngest learners. More information on how to sign up to be a "reader" will be provided soon.
  • Library & Workroom Helpers – assisting with organization, materials, and projects. Volunteer Sign up Link: https://forms.gle/newC7WVyikyJ1Yyd6

In addition, we will host monthly volunteer meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. These meetings are a great way to stay informed and connected.

Volunteer Training

This upcoming week, we are offering Volunteer Training for all parents who would like to serve this year. Please remember that training is required before volunteering.

  • Date/Time: This week on Thursday, September 4th at 9:00 a.m.
  • Format: In-person and online

We are so excited about the year ahead and grateful for the incredible partnership we share with you. Together, we will make this a year of growth, success, and joy for every child at Tipps Elementary!

With Appreciation,

Felicia Thomas, Principal

We are grateful for the time and energy you are investing in supporting our campus! Achieving greatness is a collaborative effort, and we are excited for a strong partnership. All volunteers are expected to maintain confidentiality while working at school. All things that are seen and heard at Tipps about children and their families should be considered confidential information. Trust must be established and maintained for our Tipps program to continue on its path of success. Prior to volunteering at Tipps, we ask that all volunteers complete this agreement.
