Mrs. Perry's Paw-spective

Hello to Our Amazing SBCE Families,

It has been a fabulous week at State Bridge and we are loving seeing our families fill the halls during Curriculum Nights! Thank you to all the PreK-2nd parents and guardians that joined us last night and we look forward to seeing our 3-5 families tonight!

Our PTA is sharing a ton of new info and exciting events, so please make sure to scroll down to their section of the newsletter- you don't want to miss it!

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the FCS Legacy of Excellence luncheon in honor of our SBCE Teacher of the Year, Jennifer Reed (4th Grade), and Professional of the Year, Shantea Drumgole (Pe-K). These two ladies deserved all the love and praise as they pour tirelessly into our Bobcats. Thank you to Mrs. Reed and Ms. Drumgole for all that you do for our State Bridge Community!

Lastly, students and teachers suggested names for our new SBCE porch goose and the new name is Puddles! Please see his picture below and he will be dressed in an apple costume tomorrow for 1st Grade Apple Day 🍎

Next week is fall break 🎉 and I hope that everyone has a wonderful week resting and recharging. I will be traveling with my family, so I will be out of office the entire week. Due to fall break, we will not have a Paw Prints newsletter next week, however we will resume sending our weekly communication on Thursday, October 1st.

Thank you!

Ashley Perry

Kid Chess

Kid Chess has been Atlanta’s most popular after-school enrichment club since 1998. The program meets at State Bridge Elementary on Thursdays. We send multiple coaches (on average of 5) to keep a uniquely low student teacher ratio, which guarantees level appropriate instruction from true-beginners to advanced players. For details or to register call (770) 575-5802 or go to Kidchess.com.
