Congratulations Jade Garceau and Cadence Lafferty for being selected and playing in the VBCA ALL Star game.
Congratulations to Jade Garceau on being awarded the Eric Ward Scholarship as well.
“Eric Ward was a dedicated and passionate basketball coach in the state of Vermont for over 40 years. He coached the Thetford Academy girls’ basketball program for many years, taking the Panthers to seven straight championship games, winning four, including the first ever for Thetford Academy in 2014. Eric was on the board of the Vermont Basketball Coaches’ Association, coached AAU basketball, and devoted his life to the
sport of basketball while being a great ambassador to the sport. His legacy as a coach was loving and caring for every player on and off the court, great sportsmanship, camaraderie, and a great influence.
In Eric’s memory, a scholarship is awarded to a female student athlete who is a team player, displays good sportsmanship, has a positive impact on her team, and has a passion for defense.”
Emma Harrison

Joe's Sugar Shack Field Trip
On March 27th, Kasia Bilodeau's Careers class took a deliciously educational field trip to a local maple sugar shack to learn all about how maple syrup goes from tree to table!
We explored:
The different grades of syrup and what makes each one unique.
The reverse osmosis process helps concentrate the sap.
How trees are tapped to collect the sweet sap.
How syrup is distributed across the country for everyone to enjoy.
It was a hands-on, sticky, and super-sweet experience! Thanks to Joe St. Pierre and Matt for the sweet adventure.
