Miley is a very dedicated, conscientious student as well as a loving, compassionate cadet teacher. Miley is always willing to help with any project. I appreciate Miley very much and feel confident that she will be an amazing teacher. I will be excited to watch her progress in her career over the next few years.
Work Based Learning (WBL) PM - Madison Barnes, Senior at Shelbyville High School
Madison has an amazing compassion for her patients at her internship at The Willows Of Shelbyville. Madison averages 30 hours per week at her Work Base Learning Internship as a CNA while keeping up her academic classes. To show her commitment to starting her health care journey, Madison invested $1,000.00 of her own money to become a certified CNA. She is willing to go the extra mile to make sure she takes care of her residents as if they were part of her own family. Madison has a smile on her face and a positive attitude that are contagious to her fellow employees and classmates. Madison most recently was recognized for making the HOSA state finals in job interview and top five in the State Of Indiana for HOME HEALTH AIDE COMPETITION. Madison may have the opportunity to compete in Nashville, Tennessee for the 2025 HOSA International competition from June 18-21. Madison will certainly continue to make an impact as she continues to study at the College Of St. Mary's to obtain a degree in nursing.

Diesel Technology AM: Jack Adkins, Junior at Waldron High School
Jack works hard in the classroom and in the lab and he is eager to learn about the basics of the diesel trade. Jack is a fast learner and works well with the other students. Jack is willing to jump in and get his hands dirty while learning the basics of brakes, transmissions, steering and other areas of study in the field.
Diesel Technology PM: Chase Sells, Senior at Shelbyville High School
Chase is willing to tackle any job in the lab and takes directions well. Chase retains the classroom information and uses the knowledge he learns in the lab. In his second year he has come a long way to pick up on the classwork we covered from last year to incorporate it with the new lessons from this year. Chase will do well in the trades after high school as he embarks on his future in trade school in Ohio this fall.

April 2025 Alumni of the Month
Reece Carlton, Welding Program, 2024 graduate of Shelbyville High School
Reece attended BRCP from 2022-2024 as a part of the Welding class. When asked in what ways did BRCP have an impact on you, Tony said, "BRCP had an impact on me in many ways. The biggest way that the program impacted my life would be that I got enough skills and training to land a full-time welding position during and after high school at Beaty Construction". When asked what advice Tony would give to our students today, he said, "Go to BRCP to learn. There is too much time and resources invested in whatever program you're in to not put in 100% effort to learn and succeed".
Thank you, Reece, and congratulations on your success!
