Hello Broadwater Families,

It is hard to believe we are at the end of September. We have had a busy and productive month and are looking forward to a wonderful October.

Just a reminder that cell phones/smart watches at school need to be turned off and in back packs/lockers. They are very distracting for students.

Walk to school day is on Wednesday, October 1st. There is more information further in the newsletter.

We have had a change in the picture retake day from November 4 to November 3.

And as always, it is a great day to be a Cub!

Student drop off and pick up Student drop off and pick up

  • Please drop students off on the playground in the morning. This helps with safety.
  • Students are not to be in the building before the bell at 8:30- so please do not drop them off at the front door.
  • At the end of the day, we need to keep Peosta Street clear; this is where our busses park.
  • If your student needs to be dropped off late or picked up early. We need an adult to come into the building to sign them in/out. We appreciate your help with this safety measure.

Attendance is Important Attendance is Important

1. Poor attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade.

2. By 6th grade, chronic absence becomes a leading indicator that a student will drop out of high school.
