Floral Program
The Greenhouse program is prepping for spring, and our greenhouse plant sale! We have 40 students working diligently to grow over 100 varieties of plants, including perennial and annual flowers, veggies, fruits and herbs. Students have done all of the work - filling containers, moving soil, planting seeds, transplanting, fertilizing, and pest management. We are so proud of the plants that are growing! If you're interested in following the Horticulture program, check out their Facebook page Blackfoot High School Floral Design and Greenhouse. Save the date for the plant sale - the greenhouses open on Friday May 5th 3-7pm, and will be open Saturday May 6th 9am-3pm and Sunday May 7th 1pm-4pm.
Also, the Floral program is kicking up it's spring flower subscription! If you're interested, there is information on the Facebook page about subscribing. Our spring arrangements will be Easter themed, spring themed, and Mother's Day themed, along with an artificial flower wreath!
We would like to thank you for continuing to support these creative, hands on education opportunities for our students!

Athletic Department:
Spring sports are now underway - even though Mother Nature begs to differ! Our fields are thawed and we are ready to compete. We finally had our first home Softball game of the season and Baseball is right behind them followed up by Tennis. Track braved the weather and headed to Canyon Ridge High School to compete last week. We are so lucky to have our ICCU Fieldhouse for them to practice in this year.
We had a few more athletes sign last month to continue their education. First up we had Steven Saunders who will be playing football while continuing his education at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. Ryan Reyonolds who will be continuing his education while playing baseball at Salt Lake Community College in West Valley City, Utah. Chris Portillo who will be continuing his education while playing football at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa.
A couple of our athletes had some other accomplishments as well. Matt Thomas was able to compete at the Nike Indoor Nationals in New York. He came home with the 4th place win in the 2 mile and an 8th place win in the 1 mile. Mack Mauger, one of our wrestlers, was awarded the Athlete of the week by Local News 8. Congratulations to all of our amazing athletes.
With the forecast starting to look better we could all use more time outside so come out and support our Broncos! We love our fans and our new fields!
