What to do If Your Child is Absent
Regular, punctual, daily attendance is required of all our students.
We do understand that sometimes our students are sick and need to stay home.
If a student has diarrhea , is vomiting, or running a fever, they need to stay home. Student's must be fever free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
When your child is out, email our Attendance Clerk, Mrs. Alma, at alma.carrizales@cvisd.org
Anytime your student is out for a doctor's appointment or therapy, a note from the doctor or therapist is required. Otherwise, a parent note is needed the day the student returns.
Make sure the note includes your child“s name, teacher“s name, date of absence and reason for absence. A student will not be counted absent if he or she leaves school or is late to school and a note from a doctor or therapist is provided for that day.
