Primary iPad Rollout Training Sessions This Week!
The Primary Digital Learning Team is offering training sessions this week to assist with these changes. Topics covered in these sessions include:
- Basic iPad information
- App Catalog
- Clever information
- Schoology information
- Using district resources (Flipgrid, BrainPop Jr., Amplify Boost) on iPad
- Something new - image annotation on iPad
Due to current limitations in Google Meet, we will use GoToWebinar for these sessions. The registration link below will give you the option to register for the time that works best for you. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information for joining the session at the appropriate time. GoToWebinar will run in your web browser, so there will not be a need to install the standalone application to join.

NOVEL EFFECTS - READ ALOUD BOOKS
The free app for both Apple and Android allows you to read a book aloud while it provides special effects and relevant audio. Think of the sound effects and score for movies but this is enhancement to many of your classroom stores. As you are reading out loud, the app listens and provides audio to the reading. Leaves rustle, animals howl, and footsteps crackle as you tell your tale, adding life to every line and engaging your audience.
The most exciting update is the Novel Effects Video, where the reader becomes part of the story. The reader will be prompted to read certain lines in order to interact with the characters. You must check it out. Start with Monster Heroes and begin the adventure!
FLIPGRID COMMENTS
As if one of our favorite tools couldn't get any better, it did! Check out the newest feature, Flipgrid comments using text or video, and it even utilizes the Immersive Reader.
Text comments allows students to have deeper conversations and collaborate with peers. It is excellent for feedback between peers, reflections, encouragement and more!
