It’s important to stay active both inside and outside even during our chilly Iowa winters. Check out resources below to make sure you and your kids are keeping the blood flowing and having active fun through the cold months.
Our partners at ISU Extension and Outreach 4-H have posted tons of fun brain breaks and ExerCyse with Cy videos kids love to engage and challenge themselves with!

Every second of physical activity in the winter is important! Avoid denying physical activity as a punishment. Read more from Action For Healthy Kids about how you can guarantee your kids keep their physical activity time through policy changes.
Lots of joy-filled students help create the Countdown to Christmas Kindness theme in the Elementary Lobby. Preschool Students created the Hands Tree, 3rd grade students created the Window Snowflakes and Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 4th Grade & 5th Grade all created Christmas Kindness Paper Chains to make the garland! Each day a new "Kindness Theme" is revealed on the Christmas Kindness Countdown Tree!
High School students have also become the Catalyst to more students participating! A shout-out to Bernie Losee & Kailee Lewis for helping share the Kindness Spirit!
