Commencement 2024
When is Commencement? This is a question on many people's mind this time of year, and one we are hearing more often. As most people know, Commencement is held at the Pavilion at Star Lake. The ownership group of the pavilion generously donates use of the space and we are most appreciative of this as it gives our students and families a very unique experience for the milestone moment. Unfortunately, since we rely on this generosity because we could not afford to pay for the use of the space, in some years it leads to a delay in setting the date of Commencement. Their management needs to identify definite openings in their concert schedule before committing to a date for us. We have been actively working with them to solidify a date. In fact, these discussions begin for the next one immediately after each Commencement. We are hopeful that we will have the date in the near future.
2nd Grade Performs Dr. Seuss' The Lorax
Our 2nd grade students were busy practicing for their production of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, and all of their hard work paid off. On Friday, the students staged their performance for their parents, guardians, and other family members in the MS/HS LGI. There was hardly an empty seat in the house, and the students did a fantastic job! A shout out goes to our elementary center teachers and all others who helped make this event a success!
