Happy Thanksgiving break!!

Ms. Kruskopp did an amazing job teaming up with local individuals and a church this year in hopes to help as many families as she could for the holiday. They were able to help 21 Little Axe High School families this Thanksgiving. This is a lot of work to organize, coordinate and handout the items. Ms. K does an amazing job every holiday. We are so lucky to have her on our team!

Thursday we had our LAHS College and Career Fair for our juniors and seniors. Our kids did great! We had nothing but positive feedback from the venders that attended. I am so proud of our kids and the questions they were asking. Please follow up with your kiddos and ask them what they learned, who they talked to, etc. If I can be of any assistance with applying to colleges, FAFSA, OK Promise, whatever PLEASE make sure your student reaches out to me. I am full of resources. Seniors have six months before graduation and I would love to see each and every one graduate with some type of plan. That can look like many different things so please do not think that I am just here for college questions. It can be a very scary time thinking about that next step in life.

When we return to school on Nov. 28th we have a little over three weeks (14 days) before the semester is complete! Things to check in on are GRADES, ATTENDANCE, MISSING ASSIGNMENTS. All of this can be found on your parent Wengage portal.

*Each teacher has their own late work policy. Be sure to reach out to them if you have questions.

*Attendance: If as student has missed 9 or more days in one class for the whole semester and no medical documentation has been provided, your student could be in danger of losing credit and will have to retake coursework OR be in danger of not graduating on time. Attendance questions should be directed to Ms. Brittany Doiron.

-Once the semester is over, a committee will meet to look at students in this situation. Remember every absence counts as an unexcused absence to the State Department. For the committee to make a fair assessment they must have medical notes to document the committee's decision. Every family situation is different and I promise we do our very best to be fair across the board.

New policy in requesting transcripts

As of May 2022, transcript requests are to be requested through Parchment. Click here to request.

Please do not email or phone in a request.

Mrs. Harp sent another email to the junior and senior students that have not signed up for a Parchment account that includes the code they need for Little Axe High SChool. Each student has their own code.

If your student qualifies for free/reduced lunches or receives any type of government assistance like SNAP, insurance, etc and they need a waiver for the ACT fee, have them see Mrs. Harp. They can have up to four a year.
