Rincon's First Coffee with the Principal
zoom_out_map

Greetings Rincon Community,

Our first Coffee with the Principal was my first chance this year to engage in meaningful conversations with families and create channels for feedback in a intimate way, a circle to honor all voices. All voices were heard and appreciated hearing about what is working well and areas to build and grow. Amazing ideas were shared that included expanding exploratory classes by adding Spanish, suggestions for improving traffic flows, and the value of teacher relationships with students and families. Our conversations extended well over the hour and I recognized the deep care and investment in the education of their students. The was the first of many opportunities this year for families to engage. I encourage families to be strong partners and look forward to seeing you at our next event. Thank you to all those that joined this Friday.

After School EXPlore Classes Begin

Rincon community PERMISSION SLIPS were due last week. If you haven't turned it in yet, make sure to have your student bring it on Monday. All EXPLORE classes begin this week.

There is a new procedure for check-in after school.

1) Students will all be enrolled in X-track after school for their safety and check-in. This does NOT enroll your student into the X-TRACK program.

2) After they check in, they will receive a snack with everyone else in Xtrack, and they will sit and eat at the tables.

3) Students will be released to their classes at 3:00 p.m..

4) Students dismissed to either X-track or home at 4:00 p.m.

All students need to fill out the interest form and complete the Xtrack forms before they are permitted to attend any class. If adding late to any open classes, these two forms must be completed.

Please feel free to email me Dr. Jayna Jensen with questions, jjensen@eusd.org.

Together we are better in setting up our Bulldogs up to B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness) for success!

With gratitude,

Principal Meglich
