MAKING MEMORIES AT DEVIL'S LAKE
Last Friday, our 7th and 8th graders wrapped up an amazing 3-day camping trip at Devil’s Lake State Park. The students spent their days hiking to scenic spots like Balanced Rock and Devil’s Doorway, playing games along the lake, and working together to cook meals and complete a group scavenger hunt. Evenings were filled with campfires, hotdogs, s’mores, stargazing, and plenty of laughter. From chilly nights to heartfelt moments of connection, the trip was full of adventure, teamwork, and memories that will stay with them long after the season ends.
STUDENTS EXPLORE NATURE AT TREES FOR TOMORROW
Our 9th and 10th graders spent last week diving into hands-on environmental learning at Trees for Tomorrow in Eagle River, WI.
During the trip, students explored the forest on a night hike, studied ecosystems and energy flow, examined bog ecology and the carbon cycle, designed and tested wind turbines, and measured trees to learn about carbon sequestration. Between activities, they enjoyed meals together and cozy evenings around the campfire with s’mores and conversation, making the trip both educational and memorable.
