We had a wonderful Veteran's Day assembly on Thursday. Thank you PTCO, Debi Schlatter, and our 5th graders for hosting an event that honors those who served in the military in a way that was truly beautiful.

This week, we will host a PTCO general meeting at 8:30am at Homestead. All are welcome to join! Additionally, the Thanksgiving donation drive begins this week. This year, PTCO is accepting grocery store gift cards and classic sides. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

It has come to my attention that there are some issues with the parking lot during drop off and pick up. As a reminder, when using the pick up and drop off car line, you may not park and walk to classroom doors or park and wait. If you need to park and walk your child, please plan for extra time so that you can find a parking spot in the parking lot or on a nearby neighborhood street. Additionally, spots that have handicap or PTCO reserved signs are only for those who have handicap placards or for 100% Homestead Auction winners. Finally, the delivery lane and fire lane are not available for parking at any time. If you have concerns about these topics, feel free to reach out directly. Thank you for adhering to these rules so we can ensure a safe and timely drop off and pick up for all students.

Our goal isn’t for students to simply do well, but to truly thrive. Colorado legislation has prompted greater need to screen and document volunteers in our schools. As of January 2022, we began asking every volunteer to complete a brief application to support activities in CCSD schools.

If you are currently volunteering or plan to volunteer in the future, please complete the CCSD online volunteer form. It should only take a few minutes to complete and you will only need to complete this form once a year to meet the requirements to volunteer in all CCSD buildings.
