The Heritage Herald
April 11, 2025
Hello HMS families,
We've gotten off to a great week of IAR testing. Thanks for making sure that your students got plenty of rest and were on time for testing. Also, as the weather warms up, and the school year nears an end, now is a great time to remind your students of appropriate school behavior. HMS will continue to reward positive behavior and address poor behavior. Please help us by reminding your students of appropriate behavior.
A few reminders:
- Make sure your child charges his/her chromebook each night.
- Students should be in uniform each day. (Jeans can be worn on Fridays.)
- School starts at 7:50; 8:50 on Wednesdays.
Thanks,
Mrs. Malone, Principal

🚨IMPORTANT🚨
STUDENT ARRIVAL-CAR DROP OFF LINE
Starting March 31st, students will be lining up outside again, unless there's inclement weather. If you are utilizing the car drop off line, please pull all the way ahead when dropping off. Your child can walk back to their door once exiting the car. Please do not stop at the middle school area to drop your child off, as that causes more of a back up. Thanks so much for your cooperation.
The nursing team has been monitoring the measles outbreak in Texas, and we are working diligently to ensure our student community is compliant and protected. Illinois requires one dose of MMR for day care students aged ≥12 months and pre-school aged students, and two doses of MMR vaccine for students in grades K through 12, unless they have other presumptive evidence of measles immunity, which includes laboratory evidence of immunity or laboratory confirmation of disease.
🩺 Loyola Mobile Van Visit- CANCELLED
Unfortunately, the Loyola mobile van had to cancel the May 6th visit. Please see the attached information for Alivio and Pillars health centers for school physicals and immunizations. We hope they will be able to come back next year, we are sorry for the inconvenience!
