Reminders Reminders

Buses

Students must ride the busses that are assigned to them according to where they live. Students will not be allowed onto a bus if it is not their assigned pickup location or their assigned bus. In the afternoon, students MUST board the busses at BHS. If a student goes to WMS to get on the bus, they WILL NOT be allowed onto the bus.

Doctor Notes

If your student is absent from school, a doctor's note that states, "the parent contacted our office to inform us their child was ill and did not attend school" is not accepted as an excused absences. These notes, however, will be considered when coding your student as "not truant". If a note has more information such as "based on the symptoms the child is presenting, our office has determined that it can be managed at home and should return to school on______", then the note will be reviewed and most likely be accepted as excused. Any further questions regarding doctor notes should be asked of the nurses' office, kpepin@webster-schools.org.

Student Food Delivery

This is not allowed under any circumstance. If you have forgotten your lunch, a family member can always bring your lunch to the main office. They must come into the office and bring it to Ms. Donnelly who will hold it until your lunch period. Door Dash and other delivery services will not be allowed into the building moving forward. This is explained in detail in our handbook.

Cell Phones

The use is not allowed in our classrooms from the beginning of the class until the end of the class. There are no exceptions to this. Please look in our handbook for the specific details. Reminder that if you put your phone in the door holder for the class period you will receive Bartlett Bucks each time!

Tardy to School

Our school day begins at 7:30am. This is the time that you need to be in your first period class. Saturday schools will be utilized for continued tardiness to school in the 4th quarter, for every 5 tardies to school, students will receive 1 Saturday School. If you are a sports player or take part in an after school activity, you MUST be here by 8am in order to participate.

Attendance Policy

A public school district may excuse up to 7-day sessions or 14-half day sessions in any period of six months.

Based on this law, students may be approved for up to 7 excused absences in a 6 month period. Excused absences are defined as follows: Illness with medical documentation, A medical appointment that must be made during the school day, Observing a recognized religious holiday when the observance is during school, A family emergency, A planned absence for a personal or educational purpose that has been approved by the school, Educational disruption caused by a student's homelessness, unplanned hospitalization, or placement in foster care or a youth development center, Dismissal by the school nurse for illness.

**Note: Vacations will not be considered excused and should be avoided during days school is in session.

From the Introduction to Engineering Classroom with Mr. Duque

Three students from Mr. Duque’s Introduction to Engineering class—Janlucas Mercedes Morales, Angela Sarfo, and Ryan Lima—were honored with a special opportunity to visit Liberty Mutual’s headquarters in Boston this week. The visit was a reward for winning the Persistence Award at the 2025 One8 Student Showcase, where their project on portable, renewable clean energy stood out to industry volunteers as “super original and a great example of true iterative thinking.” During their visit, the students explored behind-the-scenes operations, learned about opportunities for internships, and enjoyed lunch with Liberty Mutual employees.

Bartlett’s Life Skills STEM Students Dig Into Gardening!

This spring, Bartlett’s Life Skills STEM class, with support from the Farm-to-School program, has been busy learning about plants and growing their own garden. Students explored hydroponics by starting seedlings in a hydroponic growing system, then carefully transplanting them into pots, which they tended with great care. They also started tomato seeds and flowers in soil pots, nurturing them until they were ready for the outdoors.

All their hard work paid off when they finished planting everything in the new garden beds outside the Mobile Classrooms. The students did an excellent job and are excited to watch their garden grow!

Families are welcome to stop by and see the garden, as well as take what you would like throughout the summer — we’re proud of what our students have accomplished and can’t wait to share it with you!
