Principal's Message
Hello Yowell Families, this is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update!
We are so excited to announce our 3rd Annual Trick-or-Treat Night here at Yowell! 🎃👻 This has quickly become one of our favorite traditions, and we need your help to make it another memorable evening for our students.
We are looking for 20 families to decorate a door area and pass out provided treats to our trick-or-treaters. This is always such a fun night for our kids to dress up and enjoy a safe, family-friendly evening together. Remember, each child who wants to receive treats must have a wristband. A form went home in your child’s weekly folder last week. If you need another one, just contact your child’s teacher.
We are also wrapping up our monthly attendance challenge on Tuesday. Last month, Yowell had the best perfect attendance in the entire school division! Way to go, Stallions — let’s keep it up! 🐴✨
And for our 3rd–5th grade families, students will be riding bikes during PE class. If your child would like to bring their own helmet from home, please send it with them on their PE day. 🚲
Thank you, families, for all you do to make Yowell such a special place for kids to learn, grow, and shine.
Have an amazing evening,
Mrs. Fiscus
Attention Musical Families!!
Hello Musical Families,
As we prepare for our upcoming production, we’re gathering costume supplies to help bring the show to life! We are fortunate that about one-third of the costumes needed are being recycled from our costume closet from previous shows. For the rest, we’ve created Amazon and Walmart wish lists with items we’ll need.
Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3K677PEYZFCZP?ref_=wl_share
Walmart Wish List: https://www.walmart.com/registry/TR/536d484f-49ce-4a14-b60c-18819c5c6d1e
This is truly just a wish list—it is not required that families purchase from it. With the $20 costume fee collected from each student, we will be putting those funds toward purchasing items on the list. The wish lists are simply there for anyone who is looking to donate beyond the fee and help us expand our costume closet for future productions.
Anything purchased from the wish lists will be considered a donation to Yowell Elementary School and will be added to our costume closet for future shows.
We are hoping to have all costume pieces gathered and ready by October 30th, so students can rehearse in costume leading up to the performances. If you are able to help, we ask that items be ordered or dropped off at the school by then.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps our students shine on stage. Thank you so much for your continued support—we couldn’t do this without you!
With gratitude,
Katherine Korona

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
If your student requires transportation assistance, call the Transportation Department at 540-825-5446 or email them at transportation@ccpsweb.org
School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Brandon Mack with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
