CES Weekly Communicator
Issue #10: October 20, 2023
Principal Corner
I am so proud of our Chapelfield community who raised more than $18,500 in our read-a-thon. Thank you for supporting PTO and our students. We met our goal which means we will have a fun run/walk this coming Friday. I will send you an email about the details soon. Also, on Friday, October 27, we will have our annual Halloween Parade at 1 p.m. followed by fall parties in each classroom. We are looking forward to a fun day with you.
Please remember there is no school on Monday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 24.
Have a great long weekend.
Sincerely,
Nikki Miller
Report Card Updates
Elementary Report Card Update
As a result of committee work last spring, our elementary report cards will be issued one additional time each year. This change moves us from trimesters to quarters and means families will be receiving a quarter one report card on Friday, October 27.
Along with the reporting period change, each grade level has updated competencies to better communicate student progress over the course of the year. If you have any questions about your student's report card, please reach out to their teacher. You can find all four reporting quarters on our Updated 23-24 School Calendar.
