School Nurses' Network

This networking session is designed to bring school nurses together to share resources with each other, as well as discuss issues related to their work within their building. Oftentimes, these individuals are the only person in their building, and possibly their district, that serves as the school nurse. This will allow them time to reach out to other nurses, both with more experience and less, and help to improve their own practices. There will be some time dedicated to pushing out new initiatives from the state, such as diabetes training that is required, or a focus on supporting the mental health of those within their district.

The initial plan is to host these networking sessions at ARIN's Central Office, given that will work for nurses within the district. We attempted to do virtual last year, but some ended up not being able to attend, or had to leave due to a student coming into their office. As of now, these sessions will run from 8:30 am -11:00 am so that nurses only have to have a substitute for half of the day. If leaving your building is not a possibility, we can definitely consider doing virtual sessions again. You will need to register separately for both dates listed below, and ACT 48 hours will be awarded to those that need them.
