Dear AHE Families,

This is the season of Thanksgiving. This season is a reminder to me about how thankful I am for our Abbotts Hill school family. Our community is blessed with our wonderful PTA, parents, and staff who bring their best to support our students each and every day.

A huge THANK YOU to the PTA for the wonderful Italian themed lunch that was provided to our staff right before Thanksgiving break. Also, I would like to thank the school resource officers who helped serve at our fall feast. It was a well attended event and enjoyed by all.

As a reminder, the annual parent perception survey closes on November 22nd. The survey is anonymous and confidential.

Currently we are are 18%. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey so that we can increase our participation rate to at least 50%.

This survey allows parents the opportunity to tell us what they think about their student’s schools and the district. While we always make it a priority to listen to our parents, this survey affords us another opportunity to receive your thoughts and opinions.

Our grade level parents are already in full party planning mode for the winter parties next month! 🎉 These parties are always a highlight of the year, but they wouldn’t be possible without the generous donations from our families.

For convenience, donations have been bundled into PTA memberships (except for the lowest membership level). However, if you prefer not to join the PTA, you can still contribute to the parties separately!

Simply use the link below to make your donation. If you would prefer to send in cash with your student, the request for the parties is $10.00 for Pre-K through 4th. The request for 5th is $15 to help cover 5th grade week in May.

November’s Parent University will focus on Showcasing Your Child’s Creative Side. Our talented teacher, Ms. Upchurch, created a video for you to watch at home at your convenience. Ms. Upchurch's presentation will be how to use SCAMPER to foster learning outside the box. You can access her presentation on our Abbotts Hill website:

Fulton County Schools has on-site mental health partnerships. At Abbotts Hill, our partnership is with Summit Counseling, and Aleisha Parker is the licensed professional counselor that supports Abbotts Hill. Please see the attachment or flyer below for more information.

Yearbooks are now available to order at yearbookordercenter.com. Our school code is 25774. The price is $35 through January 31st, and increases to $40 in February. If you have any questions about yearbook orders, please email aheyearbook@gmail.com.
