WHAT'S NEW?
PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY
**NEW** Active engagement in academic learning during the school day is paramount to student success. Engaging with teachers, peers, and academic content ensures that students maximize their instructional time and learning opportunities while in school. We aim to teach students how, when, and where to use Personal Electronic Devices appropriately, and understand that their use can interfere with their learning and engagement in instruction.
In accordance with District Policy #237, Personal Electronic Devices, High School students will adhere to the practice of placing, powered off, cell phones in door caddies upon entrance to each classroom. Violations of this policy will be handled through the progressive discipline process, as outlined in our Student & Family Handbook.
LUNCH & LEARN ACADEMIC SUPPORT
**NEW** As we enter the new school year, we are excited to continue offering our Lunch & Learn model, preserving the choice and autonomy students value while introducing targeted academic support to ensure everyone succeeds. Starting this year, students who hold a grade below 70% in a core subject on the weekly D & F Report will be automatically scheduled for mandatory academic support during Learn for one week. These assignments will be determined on Fridays, and notification will be sent to students and families by the end of day. To maintain clear communication, these assignments will be visible in PowerSchool for both students and families. Students will be responsible for checking PowerSchool and knowing which teacher and learn period they have been assigned. This new process is meant to provide dedicated time with classroom teachers to address learning gaps and raise student grades. Additionally, families will receive notification if a student is marked absent from a mandatory support session, ensuring strong partnership and accountability between home and school.
GET INVOLVED. GET CONNECTED. MAKE YOUR MARK!!
Getting involved in high school culture - whether through clubs, student organizations, fine arts, or athletics - is one of the most powerful ways to turn high school into a memorable, meaningful experience. Beyond the classroom, stepping into extracurricular opportunities allows students to discover new passions, build strong leadership skills, and forge lifelong friendships with peers who share their interests. Active participation fosters a genuine sense of belonging, transforms a school building into a thriving community, and directly correlates with higher academic motivation and personal growth. Whether you are aiming to try a new sport, perform on stage, contribute to community service, or step into student leadership, getting involved ensures you don't just attend high school - you shape it.

RELEASE OF STUDENT SCHEDULES
PowerSchool is the student information system used as the central hub for student grades, attendance, schedules, and more. PowerSchool will open for all high school students and families to view their class schedule on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 11:00am. If you or your child has a question pertaining to their schedule, please reach out to your child's assigned school counselor.
COUNSELOR BREAKDOWN
To ensure each student receives balanced, personalized guidance throughout high school, we periodically review our class size projections. Based on a recent analysis of six-year enrollment trends, we have made a small adjustment to the alphabetical splits assigned to each counselor. This shift balances caseloads across our counseling department, allowing our team to maintain consistent support, proactive scheduling, and dedicated college and career planning for every family. You can view your student's assigned counselor for the upcoming school year by checking PowerSchool or using the table below.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Consistent school attendance is vital for your child's academic success and personal growth. Regular attendance helps students stay on track with learning, build relationships, and develop important life skills. While we understand that some absences are unavoidable, we encourage prioritizing attendance whenever possible.
A regular school day at the High School is 7:30am to 2:30pm. It is important to remember that Homeroom starts at 7:30am. All students are expected to be in their seats in HR when the 7:30am bell rings; otherwise, they are considered late to school.
For the full bell schedule, please refer to our bell schedule page at Bell Schedule | Hatboro-Horsham High School.
For detailed information on our attendance policies and procedures, please refer to our attendance page at Attendance | Hatboro-Horsham School District.
Together, we can support your child's educational journey through consistent and timely attendance.
