Weekly Update
August 8th, 2023
Just like that we are in May! Crazy to think how fast the school year has gone. Students have about 10 days to get all their work caught up and turned in for the 4th 9 weeks. This will give teachers plenty of time to get things graded so we will have an accurate picture of honor rolls and other achievements. We still have ASAP Monday - Thursday until 4:30 if your child is needed some extra support.
Elective Forms & Enrollment Updates
This week, our 6th and 7th grade students filled out their elective selection forms for next school year. These forms give us a good idea of each student’s interests and help us build their schedules. While we do our best to honor first-choice electives, sometimes we have to use alternate options due to space or scheduling conflicts.
Next week, your child will bring their form home for you to review. Please take a few minutes to look it over, sign it, and have your student return it to me. Your signature lets us know you’ve seen their choices and are on board.
Meanwhile, our 5th graders will be learning more about the transition to 6th grade and choosing electives next week—an exciting step as they gain more independence and responsibility! Once their elective forms are completed, those will also be sent home for review and a signature.
