Good Bye and Good Luck!

This week was full of "lasts" and good-byes for all SHS students, but especially the graduating class of 2026. Some of the underclassmen took time to enjoy the sunshine and wish the seniors farwell and good luck as they prepare for Saturday's graduation ceremony and their next big steps.

The 2026 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday in Ben Reifel Gymnasium.

Final Projects-Final Fun!

Seniors in Ms. Predergast's English IV class had some fun creating their last projects of the year.

The play Pygmalion does not really come to a conclusive ending so students had to write an ending of their own in script form, practice it and act it out for class to enjoy.

The Honors English students used satire to create a satircal newscast to present to their peers.

The Culinary Arts classes ended their 4th quarter learning about more cooking methods and careers. Ethan, Owner of Horton's Meat Processing showed the processing of a buffalo and a beef. Students also got to hear from a meat inspector who explained her role in keeping our food safe.

Students like Tyrone (pictured above) also got to work with SDSU Extension 4-H Youth Advisor, Jennifer Ringkob to learn about the origins, equipment, and barista techniques of making coffees. The Redmen Chefs then used their knowledge to make a coffee drink for several teachers to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week with the FCCLA club.

David Peterson spent two days outside with the Redmen Chefs teaching grill safety and showing a variety of outdoor cooking equipment and techniques. Students learned how to safely hook up the propane tanks and season the grills, before cooking and enjoying hot dogs and appetizers.
