A Message from the Principal
Dear Viking Families,
We are excited to step into another wonderful month of learning and connection at our school! This month, we are especially thrilled to highlight a few important events that bring our community together. Our International Game Night is right around the corner. We will have a celebration of the many cultures, traditions, and stories that make our school family so special. We hope you’ll join us for an evening filled with games, food, and opportunities to learn from one another.
We also want to remind you about our Panorama Family Survey that is now open for participation. Your feedback plays a vital role in helping us understand what we’re doing well and where we can continue to grow. Please take a few minutes to share your voice. Your input truly shapes the experiences we create for our students in our district and in our schools.
We will also be participating in Ohio State Tests this month. Please make sure that all of our Vikings are getting a good night’s rest and are at school daily so that they can do their best on their tests! It is very important that our students are at school every day on time.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to seeing you at International Night and hearing from you through the survey!

We’re excited to invite you to share your thoughts and experiences as part of the Spring 2026 administration of the Panorama Family Survey. Let’s reflect on how we’ve grown and how we can continue improving together!
The survey window will be open from March 2 – March 13, 2026.
This survey focuses on school perceptions and student support. It’s an opportunity for us to better understand your needs and preferences and enhance our services. You can find more information about the survey by clicking HERE.
Students in grades 3–12 will also have the opportunity to participate in a survey about their experience in Columbus City Schools, unless they have been opted out by a parent/guardian. Families may click HERE to opt their child out by Friday, February 27, 2026.
All responses are anonymous and will help guide programs and resources that support your child and our school community. Your voice is essential, and we appreciate your partnership.
Look out for the survey link when the Family Survey opens on Monday, March 2.

Changes to Kindergarten Start Age for 26 - 27 SY
Attention CCS Families: Ohio law now requires children to be five years old on the first day of school in order to be registered and eligible to attend kindergarten.
For Columbus City Schools families, this means your child must turn five on or before August 25, 2026 (tentative CCS start date) to be eligible for the 2026–2027 school year.
Kindergarten registration for the upcoming school year is now open. Visit the Kindergarten Enrollment Eligibility FAQ web page for additional information about the new requirements, available exceptions, and what to expect during the registration process for Columbus City Schools.
