Brief Message From the Principal
π SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO LAUGH AT YOURSELF! ππΎ
Charlie Chaplin once said, βA day without laughter is a day wasted.β Well, judging by these pictures, I'm making sure no days are wasted! π
One of life's greatest gifts is being able to laugh at ourselves and not take everything so seriously. Whether it's getting a little too excited at a volleyball game, making some unforgettable facial expressions, or realizing the camera caught EVERY emotion, these are the moments that make life fun! Sometimes we don't even realize how entertaining we are until someone captures it on camera! πΈ
Life is too short to worry about looking silly. Be passionate, cheer loudly, embrace your quirks, and never lose the ability to laugh at yourself! After all, the best memories often come from the moments we never planned.
ππΎ GO BULLDOGS!
Enjoy!

2.What's most likely to cause chaos at school?

Some quotes/thoughts for this week:
- We all need to have goals in life. Today, we want you to think about your goals for this grading period. Are you planning to make some improvements? What are they? How about your classroom conduct? Could it be better? Stop for a minute and write down at least one specific goal. Then remember this Japanese proverb: When you are thirsty, it's too late to think of digging the well.
- Our dreams for the future are important. Think about it. Without a dream, would Thomas Edison ever have invented the light bulb? Would astronauts ever have walked on the moon? Do you have a dream? Maybe you want to be a scientist, or teacher, or baseball player one day. The good news is that you can set a goal and start moving toward your dream today. Now listen to these words from Henry David Thoreau*: If one moves confidently in the direction of his dreams and tries to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with unexpected success.
- How many of you are familiar with the word "diligent"? To be diligent means to make a steady effort to accomplish something. If you are a diligent person, you are attentive and you work hard. You take special care when you are working on a task. Most successful people aren't just lucky, they've been diligent. Benjamin Franklin says: Diligence is the mother of good luck.
- Dr. David Strutton, a professor from the University of Southern Louisiana, once said: Positive thinking can help relieve stress. Dr. Strutton studied 101 people with stressful jobs and discovered that pessimistsβ people who look at life in a negative way β deal with problems by simply complaining. They don't take actions that will help solve their problems. On the other hand, optimists β people who view life in a positive way β deal with problems in practical ways, like making an extra effort, getting organized, or getting help.
- So are you feeling stressed out about something? Then ask yourself this: Am I being a pessimist? Am I just complaining and not doing anything about the problem? If the answer is yes, try being more positive. Look for a creative solution. Talk to someone who can help. Get busy doing something about your problem, and maybe some of that stress will disappear.
- When we put our hearts into something β more times than not β we usually succeed. We prosper. Why? Because we give it our very best and we do it with enthusiasm. Today, be inspired by the fact that with each day of study you are paving the way to a better future. Keep at it, and don't quit! With a little enthusiasm and perseverance, you have the formula for success!
- It's important to pay attention to the direction in which we are moving in life, knowing that sometimes things will be easy and sometimes things will be difficult. Either way, we must keep moving ahead on the course we choose.

π‘ Reminders
- Students are required to attend AAP when they are failing ONE or MORE classes.
- Chromebooks MUST be kept inside their school-issued cases!
Concussion Protocols
Schools follow strict concussion protocols to protect studentsβ health and safety. Any student suspected of having a concussion is immediately removed from play or activity and evaluated by a qualified professional. Return-to-play or return-to-learn steps are gradual and closely monitored, ensuring students recover fully before resuming normal activities. These protocols help prevent long-term injury and promote a safe learning and athletic environment.
Punctuality
Make Every Minute Count
With the start of a new quarter, tardy counts also start over. Students are allowed four tardies before they are issued a consequence. At the 5th tardy, 1.0 hour of detention is assigned. For every tardy that follows, another 1.5 hour of detention is assigned. Students can look at their tardy counts when looking in PowerSchool at their grades. Parents can also view their child/children's tardies in the same fashion, and they can set alerts via PowerSchool to notify them when their child is tardy.
