SOME TESTING BUSINESS...
Students in grades first through third will participate in the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth assessment three times this year, with the fall administration approaching during the window of August 25th. MAP Growth provides educators with valuable data to understand instructional needs and tailor learning to student strengths.
MAP Growth also serves as a whole-grade screening tool for gifted identification in Reading and Mathematics for students in grades 2–10. Students who score at or above the 95th percentile nationally in Reading or Math qualify for gifted identification under Ohio Department of Education and Workforce guidelines. Parents of students who meet the criteria for gifted identification will receive written notification via email within 30 days of the district receiving test results.
ABSENCES & TARDINESS
If your student is not going to be in school or is going to be late,
you need to call 440-285-4067 by 9:30 a.m.
Important Update: Save Our School Numbers to Your Phone!
To help protect you from robocalls, many phone carriers automatically flag unfamiliar school district numbers as "Spam Likely" or block them entirely. We want to ensure you never miss an urgent update, attendance notification, or call from our school and staff.
Please take a moment today to save our main school numbers to your contacts:
Main Office: [Insert Phone Number]
Attendance Line: [Insert Phone Number]
Nurse/Health Office: [Insert Phone Number]
Saving these numbers will ensure our caller ID displays correctly on your screen and prevent important calls from being sent straight to voicemail. Thank you for helping us stay connected!
Topper Tuesdays!

Park Clinic Corner
Welcome to the School Clinic
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the school clinic! Our goal is to help keep your child healthy, safe, and ready to learn throughout the school year.
To provide the best care possible, we ask families to help us keep your child’s health information current. Please let us know about the following:
👉Immunizations
Please make sure the school has your child’s most recent immunization records. Updated records help us meet school health requirements and provide appropriate care when needed.
👉Health Conditions
Please inform the school clinic about any health conditions, allergies, medications, or other medical needs your child may have. This information helps us respond appropriately if your child needs care during the school day.
👉Visits to the Clinic
If your child visits the school clinic, we document the visit and any care provided. Tracking clinic visits helps us monitor patterns, identify ongoing concerns, and communicate with families when follow-up may be needed.
👉Keeping Information Updated
Please notify the school whenever your child’s health information changes, including:
- Immunization records
- Health conditions or allergies
- Medications or treatment plans
- Emergency contacts
- Home, work, or alternate phone numbers
👉Please Keep Your Phone Numbers Current
Having accurate contact information is especially important. If your child becomes sick, is injured, or needs to be picked up from school, we need to be able to reach you quickly.
Please update your phone numbers and emergency contacts whenever there is a change.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep your child healthy and safe. We appreciate your help in keeping health information accurate and up to date throughout the school year.
Warmly,
The School Clinic Team
