Door Decorating Results

1st place for the primary wing was Pre-K with their beautiful snowflakes!

Honorable Mention for the primary grades was the Saffords with their gingerbread candid kids.

1st place for Intermediate was a tie between the Cotas and the Hansons! They both had so many amazing details in their designs, their boards, and doors.

Honorable Mention for Intermediate was 5 Berger for their chains, window, and for including everyone on their chains.

Thank you for all of the festive decor around the building!

🎶 The holiday concert you presented to us was absolutely amazing! 🎶

A few Kindergarten Skittles spent part of play time singing Christmas carols and playing "drums"! They said "we want to be like the big kids at the concert."

The GVS Spelling Bee will be at 9 AM on Friday, January 16. Qualifying class bees are being held in classrooms over the next two weeks! Study lists were distributed to students this week. For more practice, families can download the Scripps Word Study app on a device! The app is available on the App Store or Google Play.

There is still plenty of math fun to be had in this year's Math Mavericks Challenge, where students have the opportunity to challenge themselves with a variety of grade-level appropriate math problems, and win prizes, such as an ice-cream party!

The program runs through April 24, 2026. Every two weeks, a new set of problems is available. Please find the current math challenge attached, or hardcopies are available by the front office. The current challenge is due by noon on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
