RBV Continues to Shine with State Recognition and Strong Performance
Earlier this year, Rancho Buena Vista High School was recognized on the Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll for the second consecutive year. This recognition celebrated schools across California that continue to improve student achievement and ensure equity for all learners.
That great news has now been followed by another statewide milestone with the release of the 2025 California School Dashboard. The California School Dashboard uses colors to show how schools are performing. Blue is the highest, followed by Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. Most schools aim to reach and maintain Blue or Green, which represent high achievement and positive growth. These colors make the greatest impact because they reflect both strong performance and improvement over time, showing that students are learning and systems are working.
RBV earned strong performance ratings that include:
-
Green (High) in:
- English Language Arts,
- Mathematics,
- Graduation Rate,
- College and Career Readiness,
- English Learner Progress, and
- Suspension Rate
-
Yellow (Medium) in Science (2025 marks the first year that Science has been included as a color-rated indicator on the California School Dashboard).
These results confirm that the systems recognized by ERP are producing sustained success. Our 90.4 percent graduation rate is the highest in more than a decade and shows steady progress across every student group.
Together, these recognitions affirm the strength of our students, staff, and families and reflect the ongoing commitment to learning, belonging, and achievement that defines RBV.

Sport Request Form
Are you looking for a sport but do not see it on our website? The form below is to request the school to look into offering new CIF sports on campus.
Dear RBV Families and Community,
We’re excited to announce a new initiative to strengthen collaboration and dialogue between our students, families, and athletic program. Beginning this school year, we’re introducing a Sport Request Form designed to give students and community members the opportunity to express interest in adding new sports to our school’s athletic offerings. This form allows us to gather valuable insights, gauge interest, and better understand the needs and wishes of our community when it comes to expanding athletic opportunities.
While we are committed to exploring each request thoughtfully, please know that there are various factors that affect our ability to implement new sports, including resources, staffing, and facility availability. Even so, your input is essential as it helps us make informed decisions and better align our programs with the interests and passions of our students.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school community and for helping us continue to foster a dynamic and inclusive athletic environment for our students.

"See Something, Hear Something, Say Something"
A key resource in fostering a safe and supportive school climate at RBV is PSST World, an anonymous reporting tool that empowers students to report safety concerns confidentially. Fear of retaliation often prevents students from speaking up, but PSST World provides a secure way to report bullying, cyberbullying, abuse, threats, self-harm, weapons, or other issues affecting school safety—without revealing their identity.
Students only need to provide their name if they wish to be contacted. To submit a report, click here or on the PSST World icon above. Explore the videos and resources on this page to learn more. Thank you for helping keep RBV and VUSD a safe place to learn and grow!
Please feel free to browse through the videos shown to the right of this page for more information. Also, additional resources are also linked below that will help you create a PSST shortcut on your device.
