2026 Bret Harte PTA Trunk or Treat

Get those costumes and trunks ready! Join us for an afternoon of trick-or-treating, music, friends, and Halloween fun in the Bret Harte parking lot. Sunday, October 11 4:30–6:00 PM Bret Harte Parking Lot FREE for Bret Harte students & families 🚗 Decorate a trunk! Our goal is at least 25 cars, so we need you! Go all out or keep it simple. We just want lots of stops for our trick-or-treaters. 🍬 Just want to trick or treat? Come on over! Candy donations are encouraged to help keep all of our trunks stocked. 🎶 And yes, the DJ will be back! Provided by funds raised by the Bret Harte PTA. 📚 This year, bring a book or two! We’re collecting new and gently used children’s books for BookSmiles. Clean out those bookshelves and bring a few books your family has outgrown. BookSmiles helps get books into the hands and homes of children who need them. Learn more about BookSmiles. Please RSVP/sign up below so we know you’re coming! Questions? A friendly reminder that this event is just for our 5th graders, so please no siblings. We do, however, need a few parent chaperones to help us out! If you’re interested in chaperoning, please indicate that on the sign-up form.

We’re looking forward to a great night and another fun opportunity for the kids to spend time together and make some 5th grade memories!

Lunch Applications

Things to remember about the Free and Reduced Lunch Applications:

Only one application per household. List all students attending school through the 12th grade via the online application or a paper application made available to you at your child's school.

If your family has a change of income status during the school year, you may complete an application at any time.

If your child received free or reduced meals last school year, an application must be filled out every year if your child still qualifies.

If we do not receive an application by October 15th and your child currently receives benefits, your child's status will change to full pay breakfast and lunch.
