We have had a great week! Our students and teachers have worked so hard!

We want to congratulate Michael Herring and Courtney Ouzts on being elected to our School Improvement Counsel. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote!

Progress Reports - A paper copy of the Progress Report came home today. To see a more detailed view of their grades, be sure that your Parent Portal account is working correctly!

Grandparents Day - We are very excited about opening up our school for Grandparents Day next week! There is detailed information below. We will be selling coupon pages for $5 that Grandparents can buy for their grandchild. Also, we do ask that students are not dismissed early so they do not miss instruction.

Thank you again for everything you do. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership throughout the school year.

Have a great weekend!

What Are Your Child's Grades? What Are Your Child's Grades?

User uploaded image

Did you know that you are able to see your child's grades as soon as it is entered into the gradebook by the teacher? It is so important that you are able to see this along the way in order for your child to succeed. Download the PowerSchool App today to receive grade notifications!

Here are the steps to get signed back up in case you got logged out.

  1. Parents who've created an account, but unable to login should contact the PowerSchool Helpdesk. Provide your name, your child's name, and a contact phone number where you can be reached when emailing.

School Fees School Fees

If you have not paid your school fees, please go to myschoolbucks.com to take care of that. The charge is $20. Students will not be allowed to go on their Fall Field Trip without these fees being paid. If you have any questions, feel free to call Mrs. KB at our front office.

Attendance Reminders Attendance Reminders

Tardy - To be considered on time, the child must be sitting in their classroom at 7:45am. At 7:45am, our front door locks. The parent/guardian/driver will be expected to park their car and sign their child in at this point. Officer Hodges, our School Resource Officer, will be there to remind whoever is dropping off your child. Our instruction begins at 7:45am, so being late for school results in loss of instruction.

Early Dismissal - Students will not be allowed to be dismissed between 2:00-2:30pm for Early Dismissal. Please plan to pick your child up before then, if you have a doctor's appointment. Repeated Early Dismissals could result in an Attendance Plan.

Absences - It is imperative that your child is at school. We have a new system, and will be monitoring attendance very closely. You are allowed to turn in up to 5 Parent Notes to cover an unexcused absence. An example of a Parent Note would be a low grade fever, throwing up, etc. If you take your child to the doctor, please be sure to turn in the medical note. A student is considered truant with 3 consecutive absences or 5 unlawful absences. At this point, an Attendance Meeting will be scheduled with the Parent/Guardian and administration to create an Attendance Plan. Continued truancy will result in turning the plan over to the Anderson County Board.
