We hope everyone had a great spring break. After looking at the calendar for the rest of the year, it is going to be a busy 9 weeks!

A few reminders!

Attendance: Students will LOSE credit in a class that they miss 9 or more days. If your student is absent for a doctors appointment, be sure to bring Ms. Doiron a note.

Grades: Every student and parent has access to check grades and attendance on Wengage. If you need access please contact the main office. 3rd quarter grades will be going out this week. Graduating Seniors- Seminole State College

Seminole State College will be opening enrollment for the Summer and Fall 2022 semesters on March 28th. Graduating seniors have an opportunity to attend special enrollment events throughout the month of April. These event days will consist of the students getting enrolled, taking tours, meeting other incoming freshman, networking with faculty from their chosen field of study, and getting the chance to win prizes!

Students can sign up using the link at the bottom of this email. If your students have provided me with a valid email address in a previous visit, I have sent the link to them as well.

I have attached a flyer for you to use if you wish to advertise these dates to your students. I included that you each have the link, but your students are also welcome to email me directly for it. These specific days and activities will cater to those who sign up, but walk-ins are welcome to enroll any day during our regular business hours once enrollment opens. Students can also still enroll by email.

Let me know if there is anything further you need from me in the meantime!

ICAP

In advocacy students should be working on their ICAP. This is a graduation requirement. The law and a bunch of information is posted on the link below.

*If your student cannot get into their account, their advocacy teacher now has access to reset all passwords. Every class should be working and talking about this at least once a week during that time frame.

This semester we will be kicking it up a notch on ICAP activities thanks to the Gear Up Grant from the K20 Center. These activities are CCGC (College and Career Going Culture). Please know this is NOT all about college, it is about moving out into the workforce after high school and/or post-secondary education whether that includes a Technology Center or any college level education. We are super excited about the spring events we are planning.
