Wildcat Word
Cunningham Middle School - September 2025
A Message from the Principal
Dear CMS Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your support to an amazing start to our school year. Our 7th graders have made a smooth transition into CMS and have quickly adapted to new routines and expectations. They are building friendships, engaging in their learning, and showing great promise for the year ahead.
Our 8th graders are embracing their role as leaders on campus. They are setting a positive example for their younger peers and demonstrating the responsibility and maturity we know will serve them well this year and beyond. Their leadership is helping set a strong and supportive tone across our campus.
This strong start would not be possible without the support of our families. We are grateful for your partnership and you taking the time to encourage your student each day. Together, we are building a positive and successful school year for all.
Progress Report #1 has officially closed and grades will be posted in Skyward Family Access on Thursday, September 4th.
If you find your child is not performing to your expectations, we encourage you to start by ensuring they are taking full advantage of after-school tutorials. All CMS teachers are required to host tutorials at least once a week, providing students with opportunities to receive extra support and clarification.
The CMS Tutorial Schedule is attached below.
Thank you for your continued support!
Yours in Education,
Ashleigh Barrett
