💦 2nd Annual Polar Pop for Special Olympics at SVES! 💦

Get ready, SVES Panthers ~ our 2nd Annual Polar Pop is coming! 🐾 This year, our students will have the opportunity to purchase up to 5 water balloons to pop over participating SVES faculty and staff volunteers on Friday, May 29!

Water balloons are $1 each, and all proceeds will be donated to support the Special Olympics. ❤️

Students who would like to participate in popping balloons should bring in their $1–$5 donation and give it to their homeroom teacher between Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 27.

Thank you for helping us support an amazing cause while having some Panther fun together. Let’s make a splash, SVES! 💦🐾

🏙️ Kindergarteners Explore the World of ImagiNation! ✨

Over the past week, our kindergarten students had an exciting adventure visiting ImagiNation, where learning truly came to life through play! Students explored a kid sized interactive city and stepped into over 40 different careers including firefighters, doctors, veterinarians, shop owners, construction workers, and more.

Through hands on role play, our young learners practiced important life skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, leadership, and decision making while having an unforgettable time!

Students earned “money” through their jobs and even decided whether to save or spend their earnings, making the experience both educational and fun.

We loved watching our little Panthers dream big, work together, and use their imaginations in so many creative ways. What an incredible experience for our kindergarteners! 🐾💙

🎨 Splatter, Splash & Create: Third Grade Pollock Inspired Masterpieces! ✨

Inspired by the energetic style of Jackson Pollock, our 3rd grade artists explored the exciting world of “action” painting! Students used their whole bodies to drip, splatter, drizzle, splash, and pour paint onto canvases, creating bold, expressive, abstract works of art. Together, each class collaborated on a larger group canvas, and every student also designed an individual masterpiece full of "energy and motion." What a fun way to celebrate learning about this unique artist!

Celebration Day ~ June 3

Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s),

It’s hard to believe, but the school year is almost over. To celebrate your child’s growth and success regarding our School-wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) program, the Saucon Valley Elementary teachers and staff will be hosting a Celebration Day on Wednesday, June 3.

For the first half of the day, your child will be participating in fun, outside, field day activities including relay races and assorted cooperative games on the playground and adjacent areas. Families are invited to watch these activities. A designated viewing area will be set up for your convenience. For the safety of our students and families, please remain in the designated visitor area. Also, feel free to bring blankets or folding chairs as you watch your child collaborate with his or her classmates. (Please note: There is no rain date for the field day activities).

The viewing times will be as follows:

Kindergarten, Grade 1 & Grade 2 9:20-10:25

Grade 3 & Grade 4 10:35-11:50

At the conclusion of the morning activities, students may participate in indoor Carnival activities. Due to space constraints, visitors cannot be accommodated for the indoor activities. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Specific information about these Carnival activities will be sent home soon. Please note that students may redeem their Paw Passes for Carnival tickets (10 Paw passes = 1 Carnival ticket).

On Wednesday, June 3, please have your child wear sneakers and their class t-shirt. This Celebration Day will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s respectful, responsible, and safe behavior throughout the 2025-2026 school year!

FOR PARENTS WISHING TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO ASSIST DURING FIELD DAY OR CARNIVAL, PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Sincerely,

The SWPBS Team and Physical Education Teachers
