Wilson, we're embracing this wonderful time with open arms and hearts full of excitement. We're launching our vibrant March Kindness Campaign, a beacon of joy and compassion aimed at illuminating the significance of kindness within our cherished school community and beyond.

This month is set to be extraordinary, packed with engaging and heartfelt activities designed to spread kindness like confetti! Get ready for the delightful Kindness Bingo, where fun meets compassion, and the heartwarming Kindness Post-It Boards, set to showcase the power of positive words. But that's not all! **Next week marks the beginning of our Kindness Spirit Week!**

Yes, you heard that right! An entire week dedicated to celebrating kindness in the most spirited and enthusiastic way possible. We're calling on each and every one of you—our wonderful Cardinal Family—to dive into this wave of kindness with us. Your participation isn't just welcomed; it's cherished and makes a world of difference. Let's come together to make this month unforgettable, filled with acts of kindness that touch hearts and create lasting ripples throughout our community.

Thanks to everyone who attended the J.O. Wilson Trivia Night at the Queen Vic last week! It was great to connect with the J.O. families in the community. We’re always looking for new ideas and ways to improve family engagement experiences; please feel free to share your thoughts.

We're currently planning a yard sale and maker's market at school on Saturday, April 6, and could use ideas and help! (Do you make things? Do you want to sell things?) And there are lots of other events coming up this spring, including a parents' night out (with free childcare!) and the May auction. Please join if you have time and bandwidth to help with any of the planning.

Aramark is officially taking over as food service vendor in your school starting Monday March 4. There will be no changes to programs, mealtimes or staff in the kitchen, but you will see new faces from the management team and new menus!

Join Cardinal parents and guardians for dinner and dancing on H Street in partnership with CHAMPS' Old School Dance Party and Taqueria Fresca. Reserve your table for 6 p.m. (arrive by 6:30 pm) here and enter “J.O. Wilson Parents Night Out” in the Special Request line. Dancing starts at 8:30, location TBD.

For participating parents and guardians, the JOW PTA will provide free childcare at school for J.O. students from 6 to 10 p.m. Sign-up for childcare here.

Join Cardinal families and staff for two exciting events on April 3 from 5-6:30pm: Family Game Night in partnership with Labyrinth and our Annual Fine Art Show. Game night will be in the cafeteria and the Art Show will be in the commons.

J.O. Wilson families, staff, and creatives are invited to sell their second-hand treasures and original creative works at the first annual J.O. Wilson Market and Yard Sale. If you want to sell items at the sale, please register here.

This FREE event will feature games, a bounce house, cotton candy and more fun for the whole family, so mark your calendars and get ready to clean out your closets.

The Washington Nationals’ new program, District Tickets, allows D.C. residents who go to the Nats box office to buy up to four tickets starting at $5 per regular home game. Chisholm Elementary School (formerly Tyler) is hosting its inaugural Community Ca$h Conference on Saturday, April 27. There will be finance discussions that cover budgeting, paying for college, buying a home, and more. There will be a marketplace for young entrepreneurs as well.
