Gahanna Lincoln High School
2025-2026
A Message from Mrs. Williams
A Proud Moment After Our First Full Week
I wanted to take a moment to share how proud I am after our first full week in our new building. Transitions are never easy, especially mid-year, but our students, staff, and families rose to the occasion in a way that truly reflects who we are as a school community.
Last week, I saw students confidently navigating the building, engaging in learning, and using the new spaces with care and purpose. I saw them collaborating, asking great questions, and showing PRIDE in how they treated one another and our shared spaces. I also saw our staff doing what they do best—supporting students, fostering positive relationships, and making sure every student felt welcomed, safe, and supported as we settled into a new routines.
There were moments of learning (and a few moments of figuring things out together), but that is exactly what growth looks like. What stood out most was the patience, flexibility, and positive mindset shown by both students and staff throughout the week.
Thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and trust as we navigate this exciting new chapter together. We are off to a strong start, and I am excited for what’s ahead as we continue to grow, learn, and build something special in this new space.
We are proud of our students. We are grateful for our staff. And we are excited for what’s next.
Go Lions!
PASS Room Calendar
Our PASS (Positive Academic Support Solution) Room is now open after school! It is open Monday - Thursday from 3:40 PM - 5:00 PM, and is located in the ASC Lab (H163A). The PASS Room is operated by GLHS teachers who are ready and willing to provide academic support on assignments.
DECA Research Survey – Your Input Matters!
Our Gahanna Lincoln DECA students are conducting a research project, and they need your help! Families are invited to complete a brief survey to support their work.
All responses are confidential and will be used for statistical purposes only. Your participation provides valuable real-world data for our students as they develop their marketing and research skills.
Thank you for taking a moment to support this student-led project—we appreciate your partnership!
Student Tardy Procedures
Beginning this week, students who arrive to class after the bell will be marked tardy.
Students who arrive late to school will report to a tardy table at the student entrances, where they will receive a tardy pass before heading to class. Students who arrive on a late bus will be issued a late bus pass so their attendance can be updated appropriately.
We appreciate your support in helping students arrive to school and class on time. Establishing consistent attendance routines helps students stay engaged in learning and sets them up for success throughout the day. Thank you for your continued partnership as we reinforce these expectations together.
Student Cell Phone Expectations
Reminder for Families
Beginning January 1, all Ohio public schools are required to enforce updated expectations for student cell phone use. In alignment with state law and Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education policy, Gahanna Lincoln is fully enforcing its cell phone expectations to support focused, respectful, and safe learning environments.
What families should know:
Students may bring cell phones to school, but phones must be powered off and stored out of sight before entering the building.
Phones may not be used during breakfast, lunch, class time, study halls, transitions, or in restrooms, locker rooms, or gym spaces.
Cell phones may only be used when explicitly authorized by a staff member for instructional purposes.
Students may use phones after school, during extracurricular activities, or on the bus, as permitted by supervising staff.
If students need to contact home during the day, they should do so through the school office or Student Services. Families may call (614) 478-5500.
Cell phone violations are addressed through a progressive discipline process focused on clear expectations, accountability, and keeping students engaged in learning.
How families can help:
- Please review these expectations with your student and encourage them to power off and store their phone before entering the building each day.
