Dear Ivan Green Families:

This is the last newsletter of 2023 - can you believe it?! I am hoping the break over the next week is filled with tons memory making activities with you and your families. Did you notice I didn't say "rest?" I know we parents will not rest in the days ahead with kids home. Enjoy your time together!

Thank you for all your support in helping your little Lancers participate in this week's theme days. They were a hit!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and Happy New Year! There is no school tomorrow, December 22. School resumes on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Sincerely,

Lucas Hiley, Ed.D.

Free Breakfast and Lunch

We are excited to announce that beginning January 2, 2024, through the end of the school year, East Irondequoit CSD will be providing free breakfast and lunch to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

The CEP is a federal program that allows eligible schools districts to offer free meals to all students, regardless of individual household income. As of recently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has expanded access to the federal CEP, allowing eligible schools participating in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs to offer school meals at no charge. The district is hopeful to extend this benefit to students in future school years, if federal and state funding makes this feasible.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the Community Eligibility Provision, please feel free to contact the Assistant School Business Official, Tim Heaphy at 339-1284.
