Jostens visited the high school this week to share class ring information with our Juniors. During the presentation, one lucky student had the chance to win a FREE class ring! Congratulations to Cadence Elmore for winning this year’s free class ring!

The Sophomores have done it again—taking home the Spirit Stick for another week! Let’s keep the energy going, Yellowjackets! This week’s game theme is “White Out”, so come dressed in white and get ready to SWARM the stands with your school spirit!

Tutoring Available: Mrs. Summitt and student mentors will offer after-school tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30–4:30 in Room 233. Students and parents interested should complete this form to request more information.

We’re excited to kick off the new nine weeks with a SWARM Celebration recognizing the incredible effort our students have shown! 🎉 Students who earned the most points for hard work and dedication will be recognized during this celebration.

Starting Tuesday, we’ll be on the lookout for students who demonstrate accountability—both in their actions and their learning. Those students will be honored at our next SWARM Celebration. Keep up the great work, Yellowjackets!

Students will have the opportunity to take the ASVAB on October 21, 2025, in the SHS Auditorium.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is not just for those considering the military—it’s a valuable career exploration tool that helps students identify their skills, strengths, and interests. The results provide personalized feedback and can help students discover college majors and career paths that align with their abilities and goals.

Students interested in taking the ASVAB should sign up to reserve their spot using the link below. This is a great way to learn more about your future possibilities!

We’re thrilled to announce that Homecoming Week at Sheridan High School will take place November 3–7, filled with school spirit, themed dress-up days, and plenty of Jacket pride!

To wrap up the celebration, SHS will host its first-ever Homecoming Dance on Friday, November 8, sponsored by the SHS PTO, our Senior Class, and senior class advisors Mrs. Christin Burks and Mrs. Olivia Lewis.

All SHS students in grades 9–12 are invited to attend this exciting semi-formal event. Guest tickets will be available with an approved guest form signed by an administrator.

We can’t wait to celebrate this new SHS tradition and make Homecoming Week 2025 one to remember!
