Disability Awareness Month
March is known nationally as disability awareness month. Over the next two weeks, our homeroom lessons will focus on this topic through presentations created by the Joseph Maley Foundation. Disability Awareness is a developmentally appropriate, standards-based curriculum that aims to build understanding and awareness of people with disabilities.
8th Grade Scheduling
We are quickly approaching scheduling time for our 8th graders! We have a few things happening this week as we lead up to this process. On Tuesday, we will have representatives from the high school’s JROTC program available during homeroom to provide a brief presentation to any students interested in learning more about this unique opportunity. Also, on Thursday, all 8th graders will receive a presentation about Central Nine Career Center during their social studies classes. Our high school 101 presentation will start with the black team on Friday and will continue with the red and white teams on Monday, March 3rd. On March 4th, students will get their scheduling forms and start the process of signing up for classes. It’s getting real! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions along the way.
