Redmen Review

Students in Mrs. Nordquist's Spanish I class got to put their selfie-taking skills to use this week as they practiced using the verb estar to express their locations and feelings. Students were asked to take photos in a variety of locations, showing a variety of emotions, and then describe them using Spanish. Their creative spirits shone bright in this project, and Abrianna, Ruger, and Jennevicia's group scored big by including Mr. Frederick in their presentation!

Make plans to attend Monday night's community presentation of this year's One-Act play!

Admissions, by Colleen Neuman will be performed at 7:00pm at the PAC. The show is directed by Sharon Prendergast and stars Liliana Garcia, Aesa Strand, and Haedyn Shindelbower.

The Regional One-Act play competition will be held the following day in Aberdeen. Best of luck!

Students in Ms. Schaefer's Intro to Ag class got to use proper microsope techniques and prepare their first wet mounts as they studied monocot and dicot plants this week. Pictured above are TaWa and Alex examining their corn (monocot) and soybean (dicot) specimens. At right are Dacian and Shane, along with pictures taken by Carson, of how the different mounts look through the microsope.

Methodize is a simple, yet effective online learning platform that empowers students to learn new skills and reach their potential. It offers a self-paced ACT preparation course that provides students in grades 9 to 12 with a comprehensive overview of the most effective strategies and the most relevant content for raising their ACT scores. Students who have used Methodize to study for the ACT have seen an average increase of 3 points on a 36-point scale!

Methodize is available at no cost to all South Dakota students in grades 9-12. This resource is provided by the South Dakota Department of Education and can be accessed through SDMyLife powered by Xello. Students and educators can simply log into their accounts and access Methodize at any time.
