At the 2024 Convention of Alabama School Boards, Dr. Celia Rudolph was one of five board members statewide to receive the coveted All-State School Board Member Award. Dr. Rudolph served on the Muscle Shoals Board of Education from 2014-2024.

Dr. Rudolph says, "Public school is the fabric of our society. It's one of the major things that hold us together. Those of us who are in the business of public school must continue to show the world that public schools are worth believing in."

She continues by saying, "I find joy hearing about the successes of students, seeing that principal who is excited about his reading scores, that teacher who has just learned that she's been awarded a grant for her classroom. Those are the things that give me joy."

Davis and Wood also received awards through the AASB Training Academy program. Davis and Wood also received awards through the AASB Training Academy program.

What better way to kick-off the 5th Grade CAPS program's "Urban Innovation" unit than to have Mayor Lockhart as a guest speaker. The 5th grade CAPS kids will be participating in the 2025 Shoals Spark competition. The students will generate unique and creative ideas about how to make the Shoals a very cool place to live and work. Mayor Lockhart spoke with the kids on innovative ideas that are already in the works for Muscle Shoals as well as possible ideas that are in the conversation and planning stages. He expanded on ideas that ranged from safety, entertainment, athletics, environment, and schools. He also shared the importance of always thinking about future progress and growth in a community. He stated that some problems never go away and that new and innovative ideas to solve those problems are necessary. Thank you, Mayor Lockhart, for sharing this important message with our students.
