New! Minnesota School Funding Video Resource

Communicating how school funding works in Minnesota is no small task—especially with many districts facing tough budgeting decisions. To help, we’ve partnered with Captivate Media + Consulting to create a free video that clearly explains school funding and why so many districts are experiencing financial challenges.

The video addresses the headlines from 2023 about historic school funding while also breaking down three key factors impacting budgets:

  • Inflation and rising costs

  • Unfunded or underfunded mandates

  • The expanding role of schools in our communities

A statewide version of the video is available for any district to use at no cost. Additionally, Captivate offers customization options to align the video with your district’s specific needs, including local funding details and translated versions in multiple languages.

Watch the video and request a free download here: https://captivatemedia.us/mnschoolfunding/.

We hope this free member resource helps you engage your community in meaningful conversations about school funding. Email Jake Sturgis if you have any questions.

Captivate Media + Consulting is a proud MASA Business Partner at the Leader Level.
