Dear Families and Caregivers,
It has been a truly productive and positive week for the Winthrop School. The efforts of our F.R.I.E.S. organization has been essential in making Teacher Appreciation Week a success. Their hard work behind the scenes ensured that our staff members felt recognized, and their coordination of the various gifts and gestures throughout the week provided a thoughtful touch that everyone noticed and appreciated.
The sight of students handing out carnations to staff members was a particular highlight. This simple gesture allowed the children to participate directly in the celebration and show their gratitude in a meaningful way. It created a warm atmosphere in the hallways and set a wonderful tone for the rest of the week’s activities.
Our Walk, Bike, and Roll event also saw a fantastic turnout. We are very grateful to the staff and families who supported the initiative, helping the morning transition run smoothly and safely. For the students, receiving stickers and bookmarks served as a great incentive, celebrating their commitment to physical activity and making the commute a bit more special than usual.
The success of these events is a testament to the strong partnership between our families and the school. Having such a dedicated support system makes these celebrations possible and reinforces the sense of community that defines Winthrop School.
Reminder we have our 4th grade Band/ Chorus/Orchestra event tonight May 6th @ 7:00p.m. at the Winthrop School.
