Welcome to PPCS 2025-2026! Welcome to PPCS 2025-2026!

Immunizations and Birh Certificates

If your child is a new enrollee, please be sure you have dropped off or sent in their official birth certificate and immunization records. Our contracted nurse will be in soon to evaluate immunization records for the annual State Immunization Report which is due each fall. Public schools are required by law to have a student's government-issued birth certificate on file. If you are unable to find it, you will need to order a new one from the state in which your child was born. Please send us the confirmation of order, so that we know you are in the process of replacing your student's birth certificate.

Student/Family Handbook Acknowledgement

We're asking all families to return a form at the back of the Student/Family Handbook acknowledging that you have read and understood it. Please find the handbook at this link. If you haven't already, please read it, complete the form at the end, and return it to the school. Thank you.

PPCS BBQ Bingo Fundraiser THIS WEDNESDAY!

Join us for BBQ Bingo benefitting PPCS, this Wednesday, September 17, 6:30-8PM at Forty Two Bar Kitchen. BINGO is by donation to play! We are raising funds for the Palouse Prairie Charter School and would love a donation of $5 per card to help them raise money. Please remember that this is by donation, but the goal is to RAISE MONEY for the school! Please come early to order food and drink. There will be chances to win BINGO prizes, free drinks and appetizers, and tons of FUN! Please be there by 6PM to claim your table or we will be filling them with walk ins at that time. See you Wednesday!

Adventure Friday Fundraiser - September 10-26

One of Palouse Prairie’s goals is to encourage the development of regular exercise habits with a focus on outdoor activities and community engagement. Our Adventure Program provides students with opportunities to explore physical activity, engagement with the outdoor world and familiarization with our Moscow community. Your support encourages children to engage in sustained, vigorous activity and build a life-long love for exercise. This year we are asking students to participate in a physical activity of their choice, outside of school. Walking, biking, running, and services like mowing lawns, weeding flower beds all count! More information and a fundraising envelope will be included in this week's Wednesday Weekly folders for K-5 students and will be handed out to Middle School students. The classroom that raises the most money gets to choose their celebration. Which class is going to win???

Parent Crew Needs Tables

Parent Crew is looking for 4-8 rectangular folding tables for the book fair, September 23-25. If you have a table we can borrow, please bring it to the school on September 17 during non pick-up or drop-off times.

Scholastic Book Fair

Spark the love of reading with some great books from the Scholastic Book Fair! The book fair will be open after school September 23-25 and during Covey Day on September 26. There will be a time reserved for those students riding the bus to shop before school is out. The book fair is coinless, so please remember, if sending money with your child, to include the 6% sales tax required and either exact amount or to the nearest dollar. No coins will be given. This helps keep the check- out process moving. To make check-out even easier you can set up an E-Wallet at this link: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/palouseprairiecharterschool

Picture Day

Portrait EFX will be here Thursday, September 25 for picture day. After their picture is taken, your student will be given a card with information on how to order photos. If your student can't be there, a makeup/retake day is scheduled for October 14.

MATHCOUNTS

We’re getting an early start on National Math Club/MATHCOUNTS at our school. Open to students in grades 6 through 6 , students will be able to learn and practice math concepts in a fun setting. It is led by a parent volunteer Ellery Blood, with support from Jake Sapozhnikov and PPCS teachers Renée and Andrika. National Math Club (https://www.mathcounts.org/programs/math-club) is a program that gives middle school students the opportunity to engage with math in a non-competitive, social environment.

Interested students will also have the option to participate in the MATHCOUNTS competition series

providing students the opportunity to compete in live contests against and alongside their peers.

We’ll be meeting on Wednesday mornings from 7:20 to 8:10 in the middle school science classroom.

All students in grades 6 through 8 are welcome. Fifth graders will be invited to join in the spring, after the competition series ends.

If your child is interested, please follow this link to fill out the google form with your information (or just show up for a meeting, but I’ll still need your email to send out updates). Email PPCS parent Ellery Blood at Ellery_blood@selinc.com with any questions.
