I hope this newsletter finds you enjoying the fresh snowfall and looking forward to the winter season. As we head into a busy month of December, I want to give you a quick preview of what’s ahead:

Reminder – Staff Training on December 10, 2-Hour Early Release (After School Care Available)
Early release times:

• Coloma and Oxford Elementary: 1:10 PM

• Westfield Elementary: 1:20 PM

• Middle School/High School: 1:30 PM

We understand that early release days can create scheduling challenges. To support families, After School Care will be available. If your student will attend, please complete a registration form for each child.

Please note: After Care transportation home will not be provided, and families must pick up children by 3:30 PM.

This wonderful community event features delicious soups donated by our local dining establishments—all while supporting a great cause.

Another break is just around the corner!
No school Wednesday, December 24 – Friday, January 2.
Take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the season. Classes resume Monday, January 5, and we look forward to starting the new year with energy and enthusiasm.

Concert Times

• Monday, December 15: MS/HS Band Concert - 6:00 PM

• Tuesday, December 16 MS/HS Choir Concert - 6:00 PM
• Thursday, December 18 - OES Concert 1:30 PM

In the event that the School District needs to delay or cancel school, families that have students who attend the District can expect to communication via our messenger app which allows for text messages, phone calls, and email notifications. These will be sent to information that is current in our student information system. **Skyward Family Access must have your current phone number and email information. Those who are not informed by this method should tune in to the TV stations noted on the attached letter and/or visit our school website.

Join us and consider donating by bringing a non-perishable food item. Cash donations can be sent to the Westfield Area High School C/O Bowls for Hunger. Please make checks payable to "Bowls for Hunger". All proceeds go to support our local area food pantries.

Winter sports are in full swing!
Hello, Pioneer Nation! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a relaxing break. All of our teams are in action this week, so there’s plenty of Pioneer athletics to enjoy and many opportunities to support our student-athletes.

🏀 Pioneer Athletics Highlights

• Middle School Boys Basketball: Earned two wins last week.

• High School Boys Basketball: Won their first game of the season.

• High School Girls Basketball: Won their second game and remain undefeated in conference play.

• Wrestling: Hitting the mat for their first matches this week on the road.

🎉 Pack the Gym Event Details

Mark your calendars for a big night to support Pioneer Athletics!

• Date: Monday, December 22nd

• Event: Varsity-only "Pack the Gym" Basketball Night

• Opponent: Cambria-Friesland

• Activities:

• Booster Club Annual Basket Raffle: A great way to win prizes and contribute.

• Concessions: All proceeds from the raffle and concessions go directly to all athletic programs.

• Alumni Recognition: The school will be recognizing alumni in between games.
  

This event is a perfect way to support the student-athletes and start the holiday week.

Please note that a small processing fee will apply to each online transaction. This fee goes directly to the payment processing provider and helps us maintain a secure and efficient system.

Or you can go into your Skyward account to Food Service. There you will see "Make a Payment" and you will have the option to make recurring payments as well.

In addition to Skyward Food Service, you can see your child's daily transactions.

We will continue to accept cash or checks in the school office for those who prefer traditional payment methods.

We hope this new system makes managing lunch accounts easier for busy families. Thank you for your continued support!
