Career Exploration
We’re getting ready for Career Exploration and would love for you to join the fun! If you’ve got a cool job or a neat career story to share, we want to hear from you! You’ll hang out with a class for about 15-20 minutes. Don’t worry, Ms. Green or Ms. Campbell will be there to handle the technology and keep the kids on track.
The Presentation: Keep it simple! Kids love pictures, google slides, or even physical tools that you use at work.
Q&A: Save the last 5 minutes for student questions, they usually have some great ones!
How to sign up: Pick a Slot using the Sign-Up Link
Get Cleared: You’ll need to be a Level 1 Volunteer. If you’re not yet, use this link to become a volunteer.
Need ideas for what to talk about? You don’t need a fancy presentation. Just chat about:
What your job title is and what you actually do all day.
How you picked this career and the education/training you needed.
The best (and toughest!) parts of your work.
What you learned back in elementary school that you still use today.
The skills someone needs to do what you do.
Have questions? Email Jennifer Green (jennifer.green@nhcs.net)
We can’t wait to see what you do! Thanks for helping our students dream big!

Cold Weather Reminder
As temperatures drop, please make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather! Coats, hats, gloves and appropriate footwear help keep everyone warm and safe during morning arrival, recess, and dismissal. We also encourage families to label and keep track of these items so they don’t get lost in the busy school day.
