.Next week, students will begin their final projects for each of their lab experiences! We have had an incredible semester exploring a wide range of Family and Consumer Sciences careers, from design and marketing to culinary arts, child development, and personal finance. These final projects will give students the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge they have gained while also showcasing their creativity and personal interests. I am so proud of the growth I have seen this semester and I cannot wait to see the thoughtful and innovative projects they create to wrap up our course!
Physical Education- Coach Williamson
We will be playing volleyball in the aux gym. Please wear sneakers on PE days. We start with fitness warm up including laps around the court or outside at the track, dynamic stretching, and sharks/ minnows tag game. We’ll then participate in a variety of lessons including dodgeball, tennis, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, soccer, and kickball, badminton/pickle ball. I’m excited to see our Pirates discovering the benefits of an active lifestyle. Fridays are combined classes with choices of activities in either gym. 8th grade will be combined to offer a greater variety of activities for our students.
Physical Education- Coach Taylor
We will begin our badminton unit in the aux gym . We will learn rules, regulations and strategies of the game. We will do individual drills as well as play full net games team vs team and 1 vs 1.Fridays are our combined gym class free choice day where we combine our gym class with the other gym class, in order for the kids to be able to play with their friends from other classes. The kids can pick one of the two gyms depending and the activity they want to participate in. Activities will vary each week to keep it different for the kids.
Please have students wear or bring the appropriate footwear to PE class.
