Welcome Back Clear Creek Cavalry!

We are so glad to be back to school and can hardly wait for our halls to be filled with the happy buzz of our students learning and laughing together again. We have missed them. Cavalry staff have been working hard to prepare our building and classrooms to make it an inviting, welcoming, fun and safe place for students to learn and socialize.

In this letter you will find some important campus information to include procedures for the first week of school. If you have any questions or concerns we encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher as your first point of contact. He or she will be your quickest resource for information as you will work together on a frequent basis as partners in the success of your student. However, your front office staff and administration stand ready to assist you as well.

You will notice as you visit our hallways this week that our theme this year is "Dream Big, Make Connections and Reach for the Stars!" This will be an amazing year!

Walking students to classrooms and to breakfast

Parents are invited to walk students to class for the first week of school.

If students are coming in early to eat breakfast parents are invited to walk students to the cafeteria doors. Parents are also invited to walk students to the class door to drop off backpacks before dropping them off at the cafeteria doors if they would like.

Parents will not be invited into classrooms or into the cafeteria with students. Teachers and staff will begin on the first day of school teaching students how to navigate their way around their classrooms and their school. Hug zones will be at classroom doors and cafeteria doors this week.

Beginning Monday, August 21, we ask that parents stop at the Hug Zone (the first set of glass doors after entering the building). There will be adults at the doors and lining the hallways to ensure all students get to their classrooms safely.

Lunch, Breakfast, Healthy and Safe Students

🍴In order to keep students as safe and healthy as possible at this time we are not permitting families to join students in the cafeteria for lunch or breakfast. If this changes we will announce it immediately.

Also we encourage families to fill out the free lunch application as lunch will be $2.75 for students who are not eligible for free lunch. The more application we get turned in the more likely that we can get approved for free lunch and breakfast for all students.
